Abstract: Chorus and electron cyclotron harmonics (ECH) in Earth's magnetosphere are crucial emissions, typically observed outside the plasmasphere near the magnetic equator. Studies indicate that the nonlinear interactions between chorus and ECH waves can generate ECH sidebands. Statistical analyses based on Van Allen Probes data reveal that this interaction predominantly occurs on the nightside region near the magnetic equator. As the AE index increases, the observed spatial distribution and intensity of ECH sidebands exhibit significant enhancement. The root-mean-square (RMS) amplitude of these sidebands scales proportionally with the square root of the product of the Chorus and ECH wave amplitudes. Furthermore, ECH sidebands effectively broaden the resonant electron energy range to approximately 10 eV, influencing radiation belt dynamics.
