Abstract: Axion was first introduced to solve the strong CP problem. In the recent decades, axion or axion-like particles (ALPs) has been attracting more attention as a dark matter candidate. In this report, we are going to present several experimental approaches that have been widely applied in axion detection and some new methods and setups being developed currently, especially the progress in IAXO collaboration and the recent DarkQuantum project, aiming to explore a larger and unexplored parameter space of axion.
