Abstract: The first-order electroweak phase transition is an attractive cosmological scenario as it provides an interpretation of the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe and also can produce the detectable gravitational waves (GWs). Traditionally, this process proceeds through nucleating handful of true-vacuum bubbles. However, in the situation where a statically low nucleation rate is led, the universe may be trapped in an improper electroweak vacuum, as a result, the electroweak symmetry breaking is no longer successful. In this talk we will present a new approach to false vacuum decay and by which the trapped vacuum can be rescued. In addition, we will discuss the produced GWs from domain wall networks that were seeded by the true-vacuum bubbles.
