Abstract: In these lectures aimed at undergraduate and PhD-level students, I will give an overview of important concepts in radio astronomy, and describe some of the telescopes which are being built to address fundamental problems in our understanding of the universe. The outline of the topics to be covered is: What is Radio Astronomy? Sources of Radio Waves, Frequency Vs Resolution, Aperture Synthesis Arrays, Units and Conversions, Interferometry and Basic Principles of Imaging, Useful Software Packages, Additional Resources.
