Baryonic Cycle in High Redshift Universe

Title: Baryonic Cycle in High Redshift Universe

Speaker: Dr. Siwei Zou (Tsinghua University)

Time: 14:00pm, September 13, 2023

Location: 5-516, PMO Xianlin Campus

Abstract: This talk will focus on the new era of observing the high redshift universe enabled by James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and ground-based imaging and spectroscopic survey such as DESI, HSC and Euclid . Specifically, the investigation of the intergalactic medium (IGM) and circumgalactic medium (CGM) and its connection with nucleosynthesis and galaxy overdensity from cosmic noon and reionization epoch (EoR) will be presented, highlighting the synergies between JWST and large ground-based telescopes such as DESI, Subaru, VLT, Magellan, and ALMA. I will also present the results comparing with simulation and theory.
