Abstract: In this talk, I will present the Adaptive Optics Facility (AOF) and the MUSE instrument at VLT/UT4. AOF is the new generation cutting-edge adaptive optics system for the instruments at UT4. With the high-performance deformable secondary mirror and 4 laser guide stars system, AOF enables to correct atmospheric turbulence effects on the optical wavelength, facilitating the Multi-Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) in capturing remarkably sharper images in either seeing enhanced mode or full-AO mode. MUSE is an Integral Field Spectrograph located at the Nasmyth B focus of UT4. It has a modular structure composed of 24 identical integral-field units (IFU) a near-contiguous 1 squared arcmin field of view in Wide Field Mode (WFM) and a 7.5 x 7.5 arcsecond field of view in Narrow Field Mode (NFM). It enables a wide range of science from the solar system, exoplanets, galaxy formation and evolution, to cosmology.
