Symposium of 'Astrophysics in the era of multi-beam receivers in radio Wave band'

The Symposium of 'Astrophysics in the era of multi-beam receivers in radio wave band' was organized by the radio committee of Chinese Astronomical Society and Purple Mountain Observatory during Sep. 20-24, 2009. More than 90 scientists from 13 institutes and universities attended this symposium.

The topics of this symposium are: R&D of the multi-beam receivers; the scientific objectives of multibeam receivers; Current and future of Chinese radio telescopes and radio astrophysics. Prof. Ji Yang et al. introduced the performance and advantage of the newly developed 3x3 multibeam receivers, which will be employed by Qinghai station in 2010. This receiver system will play an important role in the forthcoming Galactic survey of molecular cloud.
