In June 2009, observation station Yao'an, Purple Mountain Observatory, after nearly 10 months of painstaking construction , finishes the first phaseconstruction project smoothly, through acceptance of work. The observation station Yao'an has a total construction area of 1803 square meters, including the complex, four astronomical domes, power supply system and water supply system in station. The success of the project acceptance marks the completion of the preliminary work of Observatory Yao'an,which provides the important basis condition for the further development of scientific research work. It can be expected that after the completion of the work, Yao'an astronomical observatory will not only be a beautiful scenery, but also China's largest base for astronomical observations.
