Abstract：Much of tremendous effort has been made to improve our understanding of the formation and evolution of the "worlds" outside of the Solar System. I shall begin my talk with the gaps in protoplanetary disks and then touch upon planet formation via giant impacts, followed by the evolutionary issues regarding hot-Jupiter inflation as well as atmospheric escape.
