       Abstract

Galaxy mergers play an important role in the hierarchical scenario of galaxy formation. To understand the star formation and dynamic properties in merging galaxies, we have selected a sample of galaxy pairs for MaNGA observation. The sample is included in MaNGA ancillary program and the observation will be completed in 6 years. Till MPL-4 MaNGA has already observed more than 100 galaxies in pairs. In this talk I will summarize the sample selection and the present status of galaxy pair observation in MPL-4. I will also show some preliminary results of our studies on galaxy pairs using MaNGA data. ( 2002-2006 Nanjing University, B. S. Astronomy, 2006-2009 Nanjing University, M. S.
