From “starless” cores to UCHII regions |
Seminar Title | From “starless” cores to UCHII regions | | | Speaker: | Dr. WANG Yuan | | | Affiliation: | (PMO,CAS) | | | When: | Monday afternoon , Mar. 26, 14:30 p.m | | | Where: | ( No.202 Lecture Hall, Astronomy Building, Nanjing University xianlin campus,) | | | Welcome to Attend | | | ( PMO Academic Committee & Academic Circulating committee) | | Abstract High-mass stars are one of the key components in the evolution of the universe, yet their formation is significantly less well understood than for their low-mass counterparts. To understand evolutionary and environmental effects during the formation of high-mass stars,we observed several sub-regions respectively at 1.3 mm with the SMA and IRAM 30 m in W3 Main and S255 complex. These regions are in different evolutionary stages and are located within the same large scale environment, i.e. S255 and W3 Main complex. I will give a brief presentation of our multi-wavlength observation results and the potential triggered star formation. |
