    Abstract

The JCMT is the largest single-dish sub millimeter telescope in the world. It has the largest continuum camera, SCUBA-2 with 10,000 bolometers at two wavelengths, and a heterodyne instrument suite to take advantage of the sub-mm windows available on Mauna Kea, Hawaii. This talk will describe these capabilities, and expand in detail on how they are used on the JCMT. The average observing night at JCMT is discussed, as well as the sophisticated observing and reduction software. The vast JCMT Data Archive will also be discussed, and the future options for EAO operation of the JCMT.
