     Abstract

We investigate self-similar dynamic formation and evolution of supermassive black holes (SMBHs) in galactic bulges (Lou & Jiang 2008 MNRAS Letter). Relevant theoretical model developement is summarized in various astrophysical contexts. In particular, we derive the so-called M-sigma relations observed based on a heuristic criterion of forming a SMBH. Radial variations of stellar velocity dispersion are proposed for further observational tests. Similar relations for intermediate black holes in globular clusters is also being explored.
