Sponsor:GRB group at Purple Mountain Observatory
Thanks to the successful performance of the Fermi satellite, the high energy emission properties of Gamma-ray Bursts (GRBs) and pulsars are much better understood than ever before. The other two recent observational breakthroughs of GRBs are the measurement of GRB 090413 at a redshift about 8.2 and the detection of the high linear polarization of the optical flash of GRB 090102B. These amazing progresses help us to better understand the underlying physics. It’s thus the time for the relevant researchers to get together to discuss these exciting discoveries and the future of the gamma-ray astrophysics in China. There is no registration fee for all attendees. The food during the meeting is paid by the organizers. The travel and hotel expenses, however, are not covered.
