Postdoc Forum held in the Purple Mountain Observatory

The postdocs in the Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) convened their first forum in 2013, from Nov. 11th to 15th. The forum was held to introduce their works for audiences from both the reachers and students, promoting idea exchanges and cooperations from different levels.

Nine postdocs from different fields gave presentations that covers theories, observations, and even materials science, which however are easy and understandable for the audiences.

The postdoc period is a golden time for the postdocs to devote into their researches, and also an urgent time for them to show their ideas to the public and to gain more comments and suggestions for their works. There have never been so many postdocs in the PMO, so the Postdoctoral Association and the Education Department organized this forum, hoping that they can have more cooperations, share more information, and plan their long-term research well.
